St. Margaret's-at-Cliffe Nursery & After School Club. |

All children are allocated a key person when starting nursery. Their key person helps to settle them into nursery and keeps a special eye on them throughout their time with us. A child’s key person observes and records what the child can do and looks at the best way to help them develop.
They keep a written record on each child which is used to help us plan activities to meet the children’s needs and for you to read to get an idea of how your child is getting on. These records are confidential and are kept in a locked cupboard in the office, only the staff, parents and OFSTED inspectors have access to them.
We try to have a parents evening once a term to give you a chance to have a chat to your child’s key person, but we are always happy to meet more often if you have something you would like to discuss.

Key Person |

We have a duty to liaise with the key person your child may have if they attend another setting, please let us know if this is the case.
It is very helpful for your child’s key person if you talk to them about any changes in your child’s home life e.g. the death of a loved pet, moving house etc. |
